Re: Ordinance Enforcement – City Council Meeting (5-15-23)
Many exaggerated claims were made against our Police Department/DPW at yesterday’s City Council meeting (5-15-2023). These rants were then posted on Facebook in an attempt to further undermine the integrity of our entire Police Department and DPW. In an attempt to set the record straight, listed below are the certified totals of various violations/other between the period of: January 1, 2023 through April 1, 2023
Arrests – 63 - (70% increase over same period one year ago)
Moving Citations Issued – 320 – (30% increase over same period one year ago)
Parking Citations – 592 – (89% increase over same period one year ago)
Vehicle Impounds – 258 – (75% increase over same period one year ago)
Water Shut Off Tags – 30
Rat Letters – 27
Trash Violation Tags – 300
Trash Can Ordinance Tags – 400
Special Trash pickups – 245
