Flood Advisory until 06:00PM Sunday

DOLORES RIVER FROM MCPHEE RESERVOIR TO THE CONFLUENCE WITH THE SAN MIGUEL.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by reservoir releases.

* WHERE...Portions of western Colorado including, Dolores, Montezuma, San Miguel and Montrose Counties.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying areas is possible, including inundated campgrounds and parking lots near river banks. Expect high water levels and fast currents along the Dolores.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 249 PM MDT, reports indicate areas of minor flooding are ongoing or are expected to redevelop through the weekend. - River conditions and hazards may change rapidly. There may be dangerous unreported hazards, including, but not limited to, low overhanging bridges, and debris (logs and sticks) that can create strainers. Eddies and slackwater become limited at these high water levels. Whitewater rafting and river sports are inherently dangerous activities. Please stay up to date on current and forecast river conditions, as well as, potential closures. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
