INCIDENT: Medical Aid Response
LOCATION: 6400 block of Valley View Street, Joshua Tree
VICTIM(S): 30-year-old male resident of Joshua Tree
SUMMARY: On Monday, May 15, 2023, at approximately 4:30 p.m., deputies from the Morongo Basin Sheriff’s Station responded to the 6400 block of Valley View Street, in Joshua Tree, reference a male not breathing. As deputies arrived, a white male adult was found not breathing and unconscious on the kitchen floor.
During a preliminary evaluation of the male, signs and symptoms of an overdose were observed. Two doses of Naloxone were administered to the male intranasally. After the second dose of Naloxone, the male regained consciousness and began to resperate normally. While deputies remained on scene, San Bernardino County Fire personnel arrived and transported the male to the Hi-Desert Medical Center for further evaluation.
