KCSO Investigating Homicide 
On 5/16/2023, at approximately 2017 hours, the Kern County Sheriff's Office received a call regarding a shooting in the 9000 block of Camino La Jolla in Lamont. Deputies arrived on the scene and located a male suffering from traumatic injuries. The victim was pronounced deceased on the scene. Homicide detectives responded, and the investigation is ongoing.
