Plainfield Police: Campaign Etiquette 
The Plainfield Police Deparment would like to remind all residents and supporters of various Political campaigns of certain rules governing campaign signs.
1. If a campaign sign is placed in front of your home on the curtilage, which is the grassy area between the sidewalk and the curb, the only person who has the right to remove that sign is the homeowner.
2. Any campaign personnel found removing or destroying signs will be subject to prosecution after an investigation is completed. Campaign personnel cannot remove or move signs of their competitor.
