Update Regarding Public Safety 
This is message is an update regarding Saint Paul Department of Public Safety.
EMS
On June 15th, we will be having a full-time EMT on the island as an employee of the City. Zack Nason is an EMT-3 and will be helping to provide our community with a higher level of EMS services. We look foward to Zack's arrival and service to our commuity.
Law Enforcment
Yesterday, City Council approved entering into an agreement with APIA to provide to Village Public Safety Officers for our community. City administration is working on finalizing the agreement with APIA. The goal have 2 VPSOs here. We hope to have 1 VPSO on island within the next month and a second later in the summer. The City will update the community on the status of VPSOs as soon as we know more.
CSO Merculieff is still conducting regular patrols in the community and responding to EMS calls. He will not be able to respond to law enforemcent calls at this time.
