Due to the terrible accident on I-5 just north of Jefferson, where multiple deaths have been reported, heavy traffic is coming through town. MCSO reported this will likely continue for several more hours as an investigation is underway. Then the cargo from 2 semi trucks will be unloaded, and then cleanup efforts can begin before finally opening lanes. Please practice patience and be cautious and courteous to other drivers and pedestrians.
