INCIDENT: PC 368(b)(1) – Elder Abuse
LOCATION: 21900 block of Resoto Road, Apple Valley
VICTIM(S): 69-year-old Male of Apple Valley
SUSPECT(S): Pedro Muniz, 50-year-old Male of Apple Valley
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at approximately 6:15 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 21900 block of Resoto Road for a report of a battery.
Deputy Greg Guzman arrived on scene and found a 69-year-old male with an injury to his eye. Through the investigation, it was learned the victim had been assaulted by Pedro Muniz. The victim was treated at the scene for nonlife-threatening injuries.
Muniz was located nearby and arrested for elder abuse. He was arrested and booked at High Desert Detention Center for elder abuse.
