IMPD Covert Robbery Detectives Make Quick Robbery Arrest

INDIANAPOLIS-Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) Robbery detectives arrested 18-year-old Jayana Anderson and 21-year-old Darelle McCullough on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, following a comprehensive investigation. The investigation included personnel from the IMPD Robbery Division, IMPD SWAT, and IMPD North District.

IMPD covert robbery detectives responded to the 3800 block of E. Washington Street on a robbery investigation. Detectives arrived and determined an attempted robbery had occurred. A good description of the suspect vehicle was given to officers in the area. Subsequently, IMPD Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) officers located the alleged suspect vehicle. The driver, later identified as Jayana Anderson, and the passenger Darelle McCullough were quickly taken into custody.

Robbery detectives arrived on the scene and determined these were the suspects from the alleged armed robbery.

Anderson and McCullough were charged with felony armed robbery. The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office will determine the final charges. The investigation is still ongoing.
