Wilmington Police arrest, charge 6 in connection with drug investigation:
Wilmington Police have arrested 6 suspects in connection with a drug investigation that spanned the course of several months.
Beginning in March, members of the Drug, Organized Crime and Vice Division have been conducting an investigation into illegal drug activity in the 1100 block of West 2nd Street. On May 17 at approximately 12:34 p.m., members of various Wilmington Police Department units – along with law enforcement partner agencies – executed multiple search warrants in that block, and took 6 suspects into custody.
Investigators recovered 22.7 grams of cocaine, 6.387 grams of Fentanyl, 302.9 grams of marijuana, $2,488 in currency and drug paraphernalia.
Ezequiel Reyes-Tena, 28, who was also wanted on multiple unrelated matters, fled from police into another residence, where he was taken into custody without incident and charged with the following offenses:
- Burglary (First Degree)
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver – Three Counts
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Conspiracy (Second Degree)
- Resisting Arrest
Felix Cruz, 18, has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver – Three Counts
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Conspiracy (Second Degree)
Karmyn Demby, 19, of Claymont has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver – Three Counts
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Conspiracy (Second Degree)
Jorge Manuel De La Paz, 24, has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver – Three Counts
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Conspiracy (Second Degree)
Yefri Solano Rivera, 30, was found to be wanted on an unrelated matter and has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver – Three Counts
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Conspiracy (Second Degree)
Jose Berrio, 27, has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver – Three Counts
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Conspiracy (Second Degree)
