UPDATE: The Ray Nitschke Memorial Bridge (Main St Bridge) has reopened to traffic after experiencing an early morning mechanical issue on Friday, May 19, 2023.

ORIGINAL MESSAGE: The Green Bay Police Department advises you to avoid the Ray Nitschke Memorial Bridge (Main St Bridge).  There is a mechanical issue with the bridge, and it is not open to vehicle or pedestrian traffic. It is unknown how long it will take to resolve the mechanical issue and open the bridge back up to traffic.  Suggested alternate routes include Walnut St (Bart Starr Memorial Bridge), Mason St (Don Tilleman Bridge), and I-43 (Leo Frigo Memorial Bridge).
