Press release regarding the swatting incident at Crossgates Mall.
On Friday May 19, 2023 at approximately 12:34 p.m. members of the Guilderland Police Department responded to a report of a shooting in a parking lot outside of Crossgates Mall. This report has been confirmed to be a "swatting" incident and the suspect is in custody. No shooting occurred and there are no safety concerns for the public in regards to this incident.
