The Oakland Police Department (OPD) arrested Reddick Mickle for a homicide that occurred on April 26, 2023, in the 300 block of 10th Street.
Due to the hard work and combined efforts of OPD officers assigned to the Violent Crime Operations Center (VCOC) and Homicide Investigators, Mickle was safely taken into custody.
The Alameda County District Attorney's Office charged Mickle with the crime.
The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification to the next of kin.

The Oakland Police Department (OPD) is investigating a homicide that occurred on April 26, 2023, just after 7:30 AM in the 300 block of 10th Street.
Officers were dispatched to a report of a person injured and on the ground. When officers arrived, they located an unresponsive male victim suffering from trauma to the head.
The Oakland Fire Department and paramedic personnel arrived on the scene to provide medical attention. Unfortunately, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Oakland Police Department Homicide Division responded to the scene and began the follow-up investigation.
Currently, the victim’s identity is unknown.
