Police Seek Public’s Help Identifying Motorcycle Theft Suspect
Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé requests the public’s help with identifying the below-pictured suspect, who stole a motorcycle as it was about to be towed on May 7, 2023.
The vehicle, a gray Honda CB 1-000R motorcycle, was parked in the 60 block of Elm Street without license plates and its vehicle identification number did not register an owner. Officers at the location called for a tow truck, which arrived at approximately 6:46 p.m. When they moved their patrol car to allow the tow truck access onto the street, the suspect pictured below jumped on the motorcycle and sped off in the opposite direction. He rode away traveling northbound on Elm Road.
Director Fragé urges anyone with information about the suspect to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
