Flood Advisory until 01:15AM Saturday

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following counties, Coke, Runnels and Tom Green.

* WHEN...Until 115 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1010 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.75 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Ballinger, Maverick, Miles, Rowena, Tennyson, Orient, Ballinger Lake, Us-83 Near The Concho-Runnels County Line and The Intersection Of Highway 208 And Ranch Road 2662. - This includes the following Low Water Crossings... FM 1692 crossing The Draw, Mule Creek Road crossing Mule Creek, Ratliff crossing just east of Highway 277, Saynor crossing Mule Creek, Juniper Road crossing just east of Highway 277, Juniper crossing Juniper Creek, Poverty Canyon crossing Mule Creek, Rawlins crossing, Lometa crossing Liveoak Creek and CR 116 crossing Pony Creek. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
