KCSO Investigating Homicide 
On 5/20/2023, at approximately 2136 hours, the Kern County Sheriff's Office received a call regarding a shooting in the 400 block of Lincoln Avenue, in Oildale. Deputies arrived on the scene and located a male suffering from traumatic injuries. The victim was pronounced deceased on the scene. Homicide detectives responded, and the investigation is ongoing.
