OFFICER JONATHAN J. WILLIAMS
On March 17, 2023 you were working Area 206 and promptly responded to the Janesville Athletic Club on Black Bridge Rd for a subject down call. The notes of the call indicated the subject was not breathing and had no pulse. Upon your arrival on scene you made a quick and decisive decision to act. You began providing CCR on the nineteen-year-old male victim. You administered effective and efficient compressions until an AED could be used. You continued CCR until the victim suddenly regained consciousness and sat up.
Your quick, decisive and effective actions are the direct reasons the young male survived. Janesville Fire Department Paramedics confirmed that your effective CCR was the primary contributing factor for him regaining consciousness and being alive today.
Your performance and dedication are deeply appreciated and respected by the police department and the Janesville community. Your dedicated efforts have a direct relationship to the level of safety in the City of Janesville. You strongly support the mission of the Janesville Police Department.
