2023 IS THE 50TH EMS WEEK CELEBRATION!
The days each have a designated focus. Each day some representative activities are listed.
Sun., May 21 Health, Wellness, and Resiliency Day
* PALS Refresher Course for staff
* UCS’s Bill Elwell, a Mental Health Crisis Specialist will be present to speak with crews
* Cookout for crew members to spend time together
Mon., May 22 Education Day
* Monthly education for EMS providers
Tue., May 23 Safety Day
* Opioid Awareness & Narcan Training for the public.
* Turning Point Center will present on the opioid crisis along with a training to administer life-saving Narcan.
* 20 free Narcan kits will be provided at the conclusion of the training. Register here.
Wed., May 24 EMS for Children Day
* Open House from 5 P.M to 8 P.M for an evening of family fun at the Manchester Safety Building!
* This FREE event will include:
-- Touch-A-Truck
-- Ambulances and Fire Truck Meet the Ambulance Crews
-- Manchester Police K-9 Moose
-- LifeNet of NY Fly In
-- Bicycle Helmet Raffle
-- Popcorn & Cotton Candy and more
Thu., May 25 Save-A-Life Day
* FREE Public Education in Hands-Only CPR, Naloxone/Narcan, and Stop The Bleed. Registration is required
* 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM Save-A-Life Training
*12:00 PM – 1:30 PM Save-A-Life Training
* Round Robin between 5 PM – 8 PM Save-A-Life Training
Fri., May 26 Recognition Day
