* At 805 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Clovis, moving south at 40 mph. THIS IS A DESTRUCTIVE STORM FOR CLOVIS AND PORTALES. HAZARD...80 mph wind gusts and two inch hail. SOURCE...Trained weather spotters. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be heavily damaged. Expect considerable damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles. Extensive tree damage and power outages are likely.
* Locations impacted include... Clovis, Portales, Farwell, Texico, Melrose, Dora, Floyd, Causey, Saint Vrain and Ranchvale. This includes Highway 60 between Mile Markers 362 and 397.
