* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Portions of north central Nevada, northeast Nevada, northwest Nevada and south central Nevada, including the following areas, in north central Nevada, Northern Lander County and Northern Eureka County and Southern Lander County and Southern Eureka County. In northeast Nevada, Northern Elko County, Ruby Mountains and East Humboldt Range and Southwest Elko County. In northwest Nevada, Humboldt County. In south central Nevada, Northwestern Nye County.

* WHEN...Through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded. Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - A moist atmosphere combined with saturated ground and developing afternoon showers and thunderstorms will promote localized heavy rainfall and enhanced runoff, leading to flash flooding. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
