Flood Advisory until 10:00AM

* WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of east central and northeast New Mexico, including the following counties, in east central New Mexico, Curry, Quay and Roosevelt. In northeast New Mexico, Harding and San Miguel.

* WHEN...Until 1000 AM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 700 AM MDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms overnight produced between 2 and 6 inches of rain. Localized amounts over 8 inches may have fallen in Quay County. It will take several hours for water to recede in area creeks and drainages. Exercise extreme caution while traveling the region this morning and never cross a flooded roadway. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Clovis, Tucumcari, Texico, Logan, Melrose, San Jon, Grady, Wheatland, Broadview, Bellview, Ranchvale, Saint Vrain, Cannon Air Force Base, Ute Lake State Park, Forrest, Bard, Portair and Pleasant Hill. - This includes the following highways... Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 326 and 373. Highway 60 between Mile Markers 357 and 397. State Road 104 between Mile Markers 98 and 105. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
