ARRAIGNMENT/BAIL STATUS: Pabon was processed at Amsterdam Police headquarters and issued an appearance ticket requiring him to appear in court at a later date.
INCIDENT NARRATIVE: On May 16th Amsterdam Police took a report of credit card that had been stolen in the preceding days. After further investigation it was determined the stolen credit card was used at a local business on East Main Street in the City of Amsterdam. An Amsterdam police officer responded to the business and was able to obtain surveillance footage. The surveillance showed the male suspect using the stolen credit card on May 15th to purchase several items. Through further investigation the suspect was later identified as Daniel R. Pabon. The investigating officer then located Pabon and placed him under arrest on the pending charges. Pabon was then transported to Amsterdam Police headquarters where he was processed on the above charges.
While there was probable cause for this arrest, all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
