* WHAT...High flows caused by snowmelt.
* WHERE...Rio Grande at Rio Grande at Embudo.
* WHEN...Until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 10.0 feet, access to riverside picnic facilities above Pilar but below the Taos Junction Bridge may be affected due to flooding. Water is about to flow over the center section of the low swinging bridge upstream of the Embudo Gauging Station. This wooden bridge is used by local residents who live on the west side of the river. No significant damages are expected until the river rises to 12 feet or higher.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:00 AM MDT Friday the stage was 8.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to remain steady below flood stage at 8.7 feet. - Action stage is 8.0 feet. - Flood stage is 10.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
