On May 29, upcoming events/ parades around town that may cause traffic and temporary road closures.
The First Precinct is advising motorists of road closures due to multiple Memorial Day Parades/Events on Monday, May 29, 2023.
Babylon Village- 11:00 am- Commencing at Foster Blvd and Deer Park Ave., proceeding south on Deer Park Ave. to Montauk Highway, west to the Village Gazebo where the ceremony will take place.
Copiague –9:30 am- Commencing at the intersection of Dixon Ave. & Great Neck Rd., proceeding south to the Copiague Fire Department.
Deer Park – 10:00 am- Commencing at the intersection of Lake Ave & W. 22nd St., proceeding east on Lake Ave., then north on Deer Park Ave., ending at JFK School.
Lindenhurst Village – 10:00am – Commencing at Breslau Cemetery proceeding west on Newark St. to North Delaware Ave. to Charles St., then west to the Monument at Fireman’s Park. The Parade will continue on Hartford St. to North Wellwood Ave. traveling south to the Village Monument at the intersection of Hoffman Ave. then south to Lindenhurst Village Hall.
North Babylon – 10:00 am – Commencing at the intersection of Garnett St. & Deer Park Ave., proceeding south on Deer Park Ave., over the Southern State Parkway continuing on Deer Park Ave., south to Phelps Lane, ending at Phelps Lane Park.
West Babylon – 10:00 am – Commencing at intersection of Brook Street & Arnold Ave, proceeding southeast on Arnold Ave, proceeding south on Great East Neck Road, traveling American Legion Hall at 10 Bruce St.
Wyandanch – 9:00 am – Wyandanch memorial Post #361 will hold a Veterans of Foreign War Memorial Day Ceremony at George Simms Plaza, Straight Path, Wyandanch. No Tents and/or Rides.
