Witherspoon Street Phase Construction Update for the Week of May 29 to June 2 (Princeton Engineering Dept.)

Week of May 26 - June 2, 2023*

Phase 1

Construction activities are not expected on Witherspoon Street for the Phase 1 Improvements on Monday and Tuesday, May 29-30. Punchlist items will be completed post-Memorial Day weekend.
Phase 1 Construction is coming to a close, so please consider unsubscribing if you no longer wish to receive the weekly construction updates for Witherspoon Street.
Lane closings or traffic shifts are not anticipated.

Phase 2

Witherspoon Street Phase 2 Improvements between Green Street and Leigh Avenue will involve upgrades to sanitary and storm sewer systems, construction of new sidewalks, traffic calming measures such as bump-outs and raised crosswalks, road paving, new pedestrian-level street lighting, and new trees. Construction is anticipated to begin Wednesday, May 31 by the Municipality's contractor, S. Brothers. They will be on-site saw cutting the roadway in preparation for sanitary sewer excavation on Monday, June 5.
