Flood Watch until 06:00AM Saturday

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Portions of east central and northeast New Mexico, including the following areas, in east central New Mexico, Curry County, Quay County and Roosevelt County. In northeast New Mexico, Eastern San Miguel County and Harding County.

* WHEN...Through late tonight into Saturday morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Heavy rainfall and flooding over many areas of eastern New Mexico especially from Tucumcari to Clovis has been slow to recede. Any additional rainfall will quickly cause flash flooding. Additional rainfall in isolated areas of 1 to 3 inches will quickly cause flash flooding in these areas that have already seen heavy rainfall from yesterday. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
