Deputies Contacting a Man Speaking to Children at a Daycare Discover He is Wanted for Strong Arm Robbery

SUSPECT(S): Cristian Rodriguez, Age 38, Transient
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On May 25, 2023, at 09:10 a.m., deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department responded to the report of a transient attempting to speak with children at a daycare playground. Deputies contacted the suspect, Cristian Rodriguez, across the street from the daycare. Deputies found him in possession of a concealed replica firearm and immediately detained him.
Through investigation, deputies discovered the suspect was wanted for strong-arm robbery. Deputies arrested Rodriguez and booked him into the West Valley Detention Center for PC211- Strong Arm Robbery, where he remains in leiu of $50,000.00 bail.
SUSPECT DESCRIPTION:
Hispanic male, approximately 5’9, 175 lbs., long gray and black hair.
