The suspect in the fatal collision has been identified and arrested. The suspect is:
Erik Elias Perez, an 18 year-old resident of Pomona.
Perez was booked on the following charges:
192(c)(1) PC - Vehicular Manslaughter
10851(a) VC - Grand Theft Auto
20001(b)(2) VC - Hit and Run resulting in death

INCIDENT: FATAL TRAFFIC COLLISION
DATE/TIME: Sunday, May 28, 2023, 8:45 PM
LOCATION: Garey Ave N/O Bonita Ave
UNIT: Traffic Services Bureau
VICTIMS: Adult Female unknown age - deceased
Adult Male unknown age - deceased
Adult Female 50-60 years old - critically injured
SUSPECT: Unknown male adult
On Sunday, May 28, 2023, at about 8:45 PM, Pomona Police Dispatch received a call of an injury hit & Run traffic collision on Garey Ave, north of Bonita Ave. Officers located the overturned SUV; all three occupants inside the victim vehicle were trapped.
L. A County Fire Department personnel arrived on-scene and transported the injured female passenger to a nearby hospital in critical condition. The driver and front passenger of the victim vehicle were pronounced deceased on-scene by LA County Fire Department personnel.
Officers were unable to locate the suspect involved in this collision
