Three Suspects Arrested for Burglary and Weapons Charges in Needles

SUSPECT(S): Eleazar Nunez-Renteria, 22-year-old Male Resident of Sinaloa
Lindolfo Avila-Palma, 37-year-old Male Resident of Sinaloa
Jesus Acosta, 27-year-old Male Resident of Sinaloa
VICTIM(S): Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad
SUMMARY: On Sunday, May 28, 2023, at approximately 1:19 a.m., deputies with the Colorado River Station responded to a suspicious circumstances call in the area of Goffs Road and Mountain Springs Road, in the community of Homer.
Deputies found three suspects had broken into several train cars and were in the process of removing property. Deputies located the suspects in the city of Needles and were taken into custody. Two of the suspects were found to be in possession of concealed firearms.
Deputies recovered approximately $125,000 worth of stolen property.
The suspects were booked into the Colorado River Station Jail and are being housed at the High Desert Detention Center
