INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) District officers and Robbery detectives quickly apprehended two armed carjacking suspects.
On May 27, 2023, just before 6:30 a.m., IMPD East district officers responded to the 2200 block of Trade Winds Dr., on the report of an armed carjacking. Officers arrived, spoke with the victim, and gathered information referencing the carjacking. Within the hour, officers located the carjacked vehicle at a local business and attempted to make a traffic stop. The driver of the vehicle refused to stop and led officers on a vehicle pursuit. IMPD Officers were able to utilize a precision immobilization technique (PIT) to end the pursuit. Officers apprehended two suspects, later identified as Landon Jones and a juvenile male. Both were arrested for their alleged role in the carjacking.
The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office (MCPO) will review the case and make a final charging decision.
