MISSING CHILD: SEARCH ONGOING - Connor Mathis, 16 Y/O, Black Male, 5ft/6in, 140 lbs - Last seen at Camp Jekyll May 29

The Georgia State Patrol and Jekyll Island Fire & EMS, along with the support of multiple local, county, and state agencies are continuing ongoing ground, aerial and coastline searches around the island in search of Connor Mathis. The community is asked to continue to contact 911 if they see anyone matching Connor’s description:

Connor Mathis
16 years old
Black Male
5ft 6'
140 Pounds
Short hair; wears braces

Possibly wearing the following:
Black shorts w/ a red T-shirt; he is not believed to be in possession of shoes.

Last seen: Early evening, Monday, May 29 at Camp Jekyll.

**Child is high functioning autistic. He may be afraid or confused and looking for shelter.**

If you have information that can assist in helping locate Connor safely, please call 911. Let the dispatcher know you have information on the missing child from Camp Jekyll.
 
At this time, we are asking those who wish to volunteer to stand by for more information or to contact the Jekyll Island Guest Information Center at 912.635.3636. We have dozens of community volunteers assisting law enforcement at this time. We are working to assign search radiuses to those already onsite and actively re-checking search areas.
