LOCATION: 900 Front Street, Needles CA
SUSPECT(S): Richard Hickman A.K.A. Richard Leonard, 35-years-old, Transient of Needles, CA
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On Monday, May 29, 2023, deputies from the Colorado River Station / Needles Police Department responded to a trespassing report near the 700 block of 3rd Street, in Needles, CA.
The suspect, believed to be Richard Hickman, was known to have multiple warrants for his arrest. When contacted, Hickman fled from deputies on foot and a short time later was apprehended near the 900 block of Front Street. Hickman was detained and provided deputies with a false name. Hickman was transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking where he was positively identified. Hickman remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department without bail, awaiting a court hearing.
