Flood Watch until 06:00AM Thursday
* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
* WHERE...Portions of east central and northeast New Mexico, including the following areas, in east central New Mexico, Curry County, Quay County and Roosevelt County. In northeast New Mexico, Eastern San Miguel County, Harding County and Union County.
* WHEN...From Wednesday afternoon through late Wednesday night.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Storm drains and ditches may become clogged with debris.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Scattered showers and thunderstorms will initiate along and east of the dryline during the afternoon hours of Wednesday. Antecedent wet soil conditions over the region along with high rainfall rates from storm activity will result in an elevated risk of flash flooding. The heavy rainfall threat will persist well after sunset, keeping the flash flood risk over the area. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
