Traffic stop leads to gun arrest. 
On May 30, 2023, at approximately 9:48 PM, a Simi Valley Police Officer initiated a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle in the area of Erringer Rd. and Larch St. During their subsequent investigation, Officers found that the passenger, an 18 year old male from Bakersfield, Ca., was in possession of a concealed and loaded handgun. Officers secured the firearm which was determined to be an unregistered "Ghost Gun", that it was loaded with a high capacity magazine. The passenger was arrested and booked at Ventura County Jail for various firearms charges including possession of an unregistered firearm and the high capacity magazine.
