Wilmington Police have arrested a man and woman on gun charges.
On May 27, at approximately 1:18 a.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division were in the 100 block of South West Street, when they observed a male and female subject in possession of a firearm. Officers made contact with 35-year-old Keon Brown, and 35-year-old Nakia Jones who were taken into custody without incident. Following a brief investigation, officers recovered a 9mm handgun.
Brown has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was released after posting $5,000 secured bail.
Jones has been charged with the following offenses:
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
- Offensive Touching
- Terroristic Threatening
She was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was released after posting $5,500 secured bail.
