Flood Advisory until 07:30AM

* WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of east central and southeast New Mexico, including the following counties, in east central New Mexico, Curry, De Baca, Guadalupe, Quay and Roosevelt. In southeast New Mexico, Chaves.

* WHEN...Until 730 AM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 429 AM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to showers and storms moving northeast from near Elkins to Portales and Clovis. This additional round of rain will fall over already saturated grounds and will cause arroyo and small stream flooding. Between 2 and 5 inches of rain have fallen between yesterday evening and early this morning. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Clovis, Portales, Fort Sumner, Quay, Texico, Melrose, Elida, Grady, House, Tolar, Taiban, Saint Vrain, Ragland, Ranchvale, Cannon Air Force Base, Oasis State Park, Wheatland, Broadview, Bellview and Floyd. - This includes the following highways... Highway 60 between Mile Markers 316 and 397. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
