Fleeing Burglary Suspects Collide with UPS Semi-Tractor Trailer

LOCATION: 4008 Chino Hills Parkway, Chino Hills (Larios Market)
SUSPECT(S): Richard Aleman, 28-year-old Resident of Bellflower
VICTIM(S): Confidential, State of California
SUMMARY: On June 1, 2023, at about 4:58 a.m., deputies from the Chino Hills Police Station were dispatched to a commercial burglary in progress at Larios Market, located at 4008 Chino Hills Parkway.
Deputies observed suspects flee in a Chevrolet Express van. Deputies attempted a traffic stop on the vehicle, and a pursuit ensued. A passenger fled from the vehicle, and he was not apprehended. The driver, Richard Aleman, collided into a UPS semi-tractor and trailer on the 60 Freeway near Reservoir Avenue. Aleman fled from the vehicle, and he was taken into custody.
The driver of the UPS semi-tractor was uninjured. Aleman was treated at a local area hospital for complaint of pain. The California Highway Patrol assisted with the traffic collision. It was later determined the vehicle Aleman was driving was reported stolen. Aleman will be booked at the West Valley Detention Center for PC 459 - Burglary, VC 2800.2(a) - Failure to Yield, and PC 496d(a) - Possession of a Stole Vehicle.
