UPDATE: Driver Identified from Fatal Crash into Fox River; Randi Van Lanen, 39, Green Bay
The Green Bay Police Department is now able to identify the female driver killed in a crash last month at the Ray Nitschke Memorial Bridge as Randi Van Lanen, 39, Green Bay.
The vehicle being driven by Van Lanen was recovered from the Fox River the night of Saturday, May 6, 2023, after leaving the roadway around 7:00 p.m. in the 100 block of Main Street just before the bridge.
The Brown County Medical Examiner’s Office has determined the cause of her death as drowning.
The investigation into the crash remains active pending further medical testing.
Van Lanen was the only occupant in the vehicle.
The family would like to extend their gratitude for the privacy received during this time.
