This is a message from the Matawan Police Department and the Office of Emergency Management:

Tomorrow, Saturday, June 3rd, in celebration of the 300th Anniversary of Burrowes Mansion, located at 94 Main St., the Borough of Matawan's Historical Society with assistance from the Borough will hold a reenactment of the British raid at the Burrowes Mansion with activities and small events planned throughout the day, along with live cannon and musket fire. Cannon fire, which could possibly be heard throughout town is anticipated at approximately 10:45 am, 12:45 pm, and 4:15 pm. 

Main St. from Little St. to Broad St. @ Memorial Park, will be CLOSED from 9:00 am until approximately 6:00 pm. To minimize your inconvenience , please plan an alternate route.
