This is a message from the Matawan Police Department and the Office of Emergency Management:

Please be advised that today, Saturday, June 3rd, in celebration of the 300th Anniversary of Burrowes Mansion, there will be live cannon and musket fire. Cannon fire, which could possibly be heard throughout town is anticipated at approximately 10:45 am, 12:45 pm, and 4:15 pm.
