Pack your picnic basket!
On Friday, June 2, at 5 p.m., the City will host a Pride Picnic at Columbus Park, located at Ninth and Clinton Streets. Residents are invited to bring a blanket, low-back chair, and their picnic basket to dine alfresco with their friends and neighbors. Kids will also be able to enjoy a rainbow-themed craft table. Spring Fling reminder
The annual Spring Fling, a community wide day of service dedicated to cleaning up City parks and public spaces, is this Saturday, June 3. Registered volunteers will meet at their assigned project location, which was emailed to their volunteer leaders this week, to participate in the sixth annual service day. Spring Fling will occur at various locations from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Questions? Contact [email protected].
Vaccinate your dog or cat
The City of Hoboken will host its annual free rabies vaccination clinic for residents with dogs or cats on Saturday, June 3, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Multi-Service Center at 124 Grand St. All pets must be securely fastened on a leash or in a carrier and dogs should have a dog license. Dog licenses can be obtained at the clinic. Licenses payments must be made in cash only. Dog license applications are also available online at https://www.hobokennj.gov/resources/dog-licenses.
Celebrate Southwest Fest
Residents are invited to Southwest Fest, a fun-filled festival that will take place on Jackson Street between Second Street and Third Street from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. The fest will feature family friendly activities including carnival games, live performances, entertainment, and highlight local businesses and eateries. Paint the Pride crosswalk
The City’s annual LGBTQIA+ Pride painting event will be on Sunday, June 4, at 8 a.m. at Newark and Washington Streets. Residents will paint the crosswalk in Pride colors. Those interested in participating must be 18 years old or older and pre-register with the Office of Constituent Services by emailing Nora Martínez DeBenedetto at [email protected]. Explore Hoboken's vibrant artist community
City of Hoboken invites residents and visitors to the annual Hoboken Artists’ Studio Tour on Sunday, June 4. The free, self-guided walking tour of local galleries, artists' studios, murals, and community art displays includes over 30 locations citywide and features paintings, drawings, photographs, sculptures, multi-media works, ceramics, jewelry, and more.
This year, the tour includes an artisan crafts fair from Newark Street to Fourth Street along Sinatra Drive which includes a variety of vendors.
