* Until 830 PM MDT.
* At 743 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over House, or 20 miles northeast of Fort Sumner, moving east at 15 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
* Locations impacted include... House and Mcalister.
* AFFECTED AREAS: QUAY, NM
Instructions:
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Large hail, damaging winds and continuous cloud to ground lightning are occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Heavy rains from severe thunderstorms can produce sudden and dangerous flows in arroyos, ditches and over low water crossings. Do not attempt to drive through areas where water covers the roadway.
