SBPD Traffic Enforcement Details; Paving Scheduled For Deans Rhode Hall Road; Tour De South Brunswick

Traffic Enforcement Details Week of June 3rd Through June 9th:
 
In an effort to address recurring traffic safety concerns within the Township, the South Brunswick Police Department will be conducting the following directed traffic enforcement details during the week of June 3rd through June 9th:
 
West Side:
New Road (Kendall Park): Speeding, Distracted Driving, and Weight Limit Ordinance Violations
 
East Side:
Route 522: Speeding, Distracted Driving, and Traffic Signal Violations
 
These traffic enforcement details will be conducted in addition to our Department's routine traffic enforcement efforts. 
 
 
Tour de South Brunswick:
 
On Sunday, June 4, 2023, the Tour de South Brunswick, a large-scale bicycle ride, will be taking place within the township. The event will begin at 8:30am and should conclude at approximately 12:00pm. Motorists should expect a large number of bicycles near the South Brunswick High School and traveling throughout the township during the event. The South Brunswick Police Department would like to remind motorists that there must be 4 feet between vehicles and people sharing the road on bicycles or on foot.
 
 
Road Construction Scheduled on Deans Rhode Hall Road:
 
The Middlesex County Department of Highways will be paving Deans Rhode Hall Road over the course of the next few weeks. This project is scheduled to take place between the hours of 7am and 4pm, Monday through Friday. There will lane closures and alternating traffic, and drivers should expect delays. Please observe posted warning signs and follow the direction of police officers and other traffic controllers.
