The male victim, 27, was in the listed area when five suspects approached him and demanded his property. Three of the suspects brandished firearms, while two other suspects searched his pockets.
The suspects assaulted the victim prior to fleeing. SUSPECTS: Five black male adults.
2. Assault with a Deadly Weapon (2150) 1100 Block of East Hammer Lane, Valley Oak District
The male victim, 20, was working at an area business when he confronted the suspect about stealing. The suspect threw a padlock at the victim, striking him prior to fleeing. The victim sustained a non-life-threatening injury and declined medical attention. SUSPECT: White male adult.
3. Weapons Arrest (0221), 2000 Block of South California Street, Seaport District
Officers responded to the area on a report of gunshots and detained several occupants of a nearby vehicle. Officers located a handgun on one of the occupants. ARRESTED: Carlos Campos, 20, for negligent discharge of a firearm and weapons charges.
