SUSPECT(S): Jacob Jody Ramirez, 18-year-old Male Resident of Apple Valley
SUMMARY:
On Thursday, June 1, 2023, at approximately 11:20 a.m., San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Dispatch received a call of a robbery at Dollar General on Navajo Road, in the Town of Apple Valley.
Deputies responded to the location and investigated. Deputy Jared Rodgers learned a suspect had entered Dollar General, grabbed items and attempted to leave without paying. A store employee, a 34-year-old female, was near the exit of the store and was threatened by the suspect as he left.
Through the investigation, Jacob Jody Ramirez was positively identified as the suspect and was found in the area. Ramirez was arrested and booked for robbery at the High Desert Detention Center and is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
