Full Notification

There will be a power outage on Monday 06/05 starting at 8:30am for no longer than 8 hours.  The purpose of this outage is to complete some of the work necessary to tie in the new power plant with the distribution system.

All customers served through substation 4 or in essence most of the following will be without power during this time:

• City Hall
• Airport & Airport Terminal
• GCI & Adak Eagle
• Sandy Cove Housing - 101-147 on Camel Cove
• Most other Sandy Cove Housing except for Beverly Cove road.

Given the fragile nature of the existing system it is possible others will be affected duing this time as well.

As a result, the City Office, Post Office, Library and Clinic will be closed for the day.  Residents should plan to pick up parcels and mail the day before, Sunday 06/04 between 9am-11am (normal operating hours).  Persons needing emergency medical care should call the on-call cell at 907-572-9989.
