Witherspoon Street Construction Update for the Week of June 5 to June 9 (Princeton Engineering Dept.)
Week of June 5 - June 9, 2023*
Phase 1
- Construction activities are not expected on Witherspoon Street for the Phase 1 Improvements. Earle Asphalt may be on site June 7. The crew will return the week of June 12 to complete punchlist items.
- Phase 1 Construction is coming to a close, so please consider unsubscribing if you no longer wish to receive the weekly construction updates for Witherspoon Street.
- Lane closings or traffic shifts are not anticipated.
- Witherspoon Street Phase 2 Improvements between Green Street and Leigh Avenue will involve upgrades to sanitary and storm sewer systems, construction of new sidewalks, traffic calming measures such as bump-outs and raised crosswalks, road paving, new pedestrian-level street lighting, and new trees. Starting Monday, June 5, S. Brothers, the Municipality's contractor will begin sanitary sewer replacement.
- S. Brothers will be utilizing an alternating traffic pattern in their work areas for the sanitary sewer replacement. Location will vary depending on the area of the sanitary repair. Parking on Witherspoon Street between Green Street and Leigh Avenue will not be available in the locations where sanitary sewer replacement is occurring. Meters will be bagged and "No Parking signs" will be posted. Please be advised.
