INCIDENT: Minor Injury Traffic Accident
LOCATION: Adobe Road and Sullivan Road, Twentynine Palms
DRIVER 1: Alan Dixon, 63-years-old, Resident of Oceanside
DRIVER 2: Clara Brown, 76-years-old, Resident of Yucca Valley
SUMMARY: On Thursday, June 1, 2023, at approximately 8:10 p.m., Alan Dixon, a 63-year-old male, rode his motorcycle southbound on Adobe Road. As he approached the intersection of Adobe Road and Sullivan Road, a black sedan, driven by Clara Brown, was traveling northbound. Brown made a westbound turn in front of the motorcycle. In an attempt to avoid a traffic collision with the sedan, Dixon braked, lost control of his motorcycle, and crashed at the intersection.
Dixon sustained visible injuries, but was awake and breathing. He was transported by Morongo Basin Emergency Services Ambulance to the Hi-Desert Medical Center in Joshua Tree before being transported to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs. The extent of Dixon's injuries is currently unknown.
Following the collision, Brown pulled over to the side of roadway and provided information for the report and insurance purposes.
