All three American Inn and Suites murder suspects are now in custody SHERIFF LEVON ALLEN 


3 of 3 murder suspects now in custody SHERIFF LEVON ALLEN. 

Clayton County Police responded to the American Inn and Suites to check on the welfare of a guest that only paid for one night but hadn’t checked out.

CCPD attempted to enter the room, and observed a body blocking the door, with a single gun shot wound to his chest. 

Doing an outstanding Investigation Clayton County Police Detectives were able to identify 3 suspects.  #1 Mr. Micheal McGruder, #2 Mr. Amado Carrillo, #3 Mr. Eric Carrillo.

SHERIFF LEVON ALLEN immediately activated his Elite Fugitive Squad. He ordered his units to find each one of those perpetrators and bring them to justice. 

The Elite Fugitive Squad found the first subject,  Mr. McGruder walking in a parking lot. Fugitive units surrounded him and he peacefully surrendered and was taken into custody. 

The second subject, Mr. Amado Carrillo was taken into custody shortly after at an address in Forest Park. He came out of the house and was safely taken into custody. 

Today 6/2/23, Mr. Eric Carrillo was taken into custody by the US Marshals.  When Mr. Carrillo was told that his two co-defendants had been arrested. 

He then went on the run. Mr. Carrillo found out very quickly you can’t run very far when you are being hunted by three different agencies. He was taken into custody without incident and is now in the Clayton County Jail.
