Wilmington Police have arrested a woman on gun charges.
On May 31, at approximately 3:21 p.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division responded to the 4400 block of North Market Street, in reference to a person with a gun. Upon arrival, officers were provided with a description of the suspect and her vehicle. A few moments later, officers in the 2800 block of North Market Street conducted a vehicle stop on the suspect’s vehicle and made contact with 25-year-old Cherish Bowe. She was taken into custody without incident and following a brief investigation officers recovered a loaded .380 caliber handgun.
Bowe has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
- Aggravated Menacing – Two Counts
- Reckless Endangering (First Degree) – Two Counts
She was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was committed to the Delores J. Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on $27,500 cash-only bail.
